This walk serves as a meaningful show of solidarity\, pride\, and encouragement\, reminding our cadets that they’re never walking alone. \nWhether you’re a new West Point parent or seasoned member of the Long Gray Line community\, we invite you to lace up your boots\, wear your black and gold\, and walk alongside fellow WPPCNC families as we cheer on the Class of 2029 from right here in North Carolina.

SUMMARY:A Day - Class of 2029
DESCRIPTION:A-Day is the day the Corps of Cadets officially accepts the New Cadets into the Corps and they become Plebes. A-Day is highlighted with a full Corps parade on the Plain and is one of the favorites of parents. Following the parade\, the new Plebes are allowed walking privileges and can spend the weekend (not overnight) with friends and family. \nLook for us before the parade. During this ceremony\, each Cow (junior) formally commits to completing their final two years at the Academy with the intention of graduating\, commissioning\, and serving as officers in the United States Army. This moment is both symbolic and binding—it reflects their dedication to the ideals of Duty\, Honor\, Country\, and their readiness to take on the responsibilities of military leadership. Affirmation is a proud and defining step on the road from cadet to officer. \nThis event is not open to parents.
